Blaze is a soulful and sensible yellow lab. She is nine years old and would do anything for her family, who often come in to cheer her on as she does her laps.
She is recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL on her right hind leg. She also suffered from osteoarthritis in the same leg and had the surfaces smoothed while in surgery. She is recovering well and now walks without a limp, although stairs are still hard for her.
Her vet highly recommended hydrotherapy to regain muscle mass and increase the ROM in the injured leg. Hydrotherapy also helps prevent the ACL in her left hind leg from tearing due to the added workload and weight bearing that it sustained during the recovery following surgery.
